I cannot wait to start sharing my hilarious, embarrassing, and somewhat life-threatening experiences in Israel (yes, you read that right).  You’ll see what I mean in the near future- just continue reading 🙂

I hold this trip near and dear to my heart, and cannot believe how much I truly learned about the world, as well as myself, during my short time in Israel.

I conquered my fears of the unknown.  I trusted those I just met with my life.  I ate local food and participated in local customs.  I became friends with Israeli soldiers, and just by hearing their stories, have taught me to be brave.

I climbed a mountain, was delighted by the hospitality of the Bedouins, managed to stay afloat in the Dead Sea without stinging my eyes out, and watched possibly the most beautiful sunrise.  I tested my reliance on new-found friends along a midnight walk (shooting stars included), rode a camel throughout the Negev Desert, and tested my balance atop a donkey (which didn’t turn out for the best…)

That being said, before I dive in right now, I want to share some of my favorite photos during my two week trip around the country.

Enjoy!

First views of the Negev, simply breathtaking.

Sunrise atop Masada, was definitely worth the strenuous hike up the mountain at 4am.

We did it!  Hiked up and then DOWN Masada (which was even more difficult).

Tel Aviv/Mediterranean Sea, before I got thrown into the warm waters, clothes and all.
Although there’s a lot of things to do in Tel Aviv, swimming in the sea at midnight is one I’ll absolutely never forget.

Rugula from the Jerusalem markets, I could eat it all day every day (if it was allowed)

Really hope you enjoyed my pick of photos!  Lot’s more coming as I start to document this amazing and unforgettable trip.

Nice photos! Love the one of the palm trees at the Dead Sea.I've been to Israel a few times, most recently last month. Such a fascinating country to travel around! Did you make it up to Nazareth? I went for the first time on this visit and really loved it – totally a surprise favorite.

Thanks Adam! I was blown away by the beauty of the Dead Sea. I could have stayed there and floated away all day (haha- no pun intended). Was not able to make it to Nazareth- will have to make sure to do that next time! Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks- I love each and every photo I took, as Israel is such an amazing country. I couldn't narrow it down to 10, so 16 had to do!
