Y is for YOLO and all those crazy stupid things I want to do

FYI: Affiliate links may be sprinkled throughout the awesome, free content you see below. I’ll receive a small commission when you purchase from my links (at no extra cost to you), which I’ll totally blow on adult things like boba tea and avocado toast. As always, thanks for the support.

YOLO: As the acronym goes, You Only Live Once.  Why not get off the couch and live life to the fullest?

I want to:

Go snorkeling in the super cold waters of Silfra, Iceland

I’ve only snorkeled in the warm waters of the Caribbean so far, and am super excited to get below the water in Hawaii this coming summer. Call me crazy, but I think it’d be really neat to see Silfra’s bright green underwater world, despite the almost-freezing temps of 2 degrees Celsius. I’ll need to layer up and wear a bulky dry suit, hood, and gloves, but it’s something I will never forget. And hopefully remain with 10 fingers and 10 toes.

Go Zorbing in New Zealand

Because who wouldn’t want to be trapped in a transparent plastic ball full of water and roll down a hill? I cant be the only one who thinks this sounds like loads of fun. This “sport” if you may, has been going on for almost 20 years. Who ever though of it must have been either super bored, or on something pretty strong.

Go skydiving at 15,000 feet in ???

Despite being scared shitless, I want to prove to myself that I can do this. I will most likely need to be pushed out of the plane, but I WILL DO THIS! SOMEWHERE!

Go paragliding in Croatia or South Africa

I have zero idea of how this works, but from the looks of it, you run and jump into the sky and magically fly, with a parachute attached to your back.  It would be nice to see the world with the wind rushing through my hair.
Go Dune Bashing in Dubai
Sure, we’ll get kind of sandy.  And our 4×4 might get stuck in the sand.  But that’s what new experiences are for, right?  Pretty adrenaline pumping I might say.
Go Great White Shark Cage Diving in South Africa
Um, YES PLEASE!  Coming from the girl who is so super scared of sharks, I am pretty confused as to why I REALLY NEED to do this.  At least once in my life.  Plus, the cage will act as protection from the big ugly monsters, right?  (say yes, please).
Has anyone ever done any of these before?
What was your experience like?

*** This post was part of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, which I totally rocked.

I can also highly recommend paragliding in Switzerland, but what I enjoyed WAY more than paragliding was hang gliding 🙂

I'm chicken but I might manage dune surfing and the Zorbing looks like fun, if somewhat dizzying. I've seen it on something but had forgotten the name.

I too think Zorbing looks like so much fun! Who wouldn't want to be inside a HUGE ball and just roll down the hill?!?!
