Damn right, affiliate links may be sprinkled throughout the awesome, free content you see below. I'll receive a small commission when you purchase from my links (at no extra cost to you), which I'll totally blow on adult things like boba tea and avocado toast. :)

Living in New York my entire life, I had never thought of venturing out to the Bronx.  Far, grungy, and plain old dirty come straight to mind when I think of the forgotten borough.

However, after missing the gorgeous flowers at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers I admired a few years back, I knew it was about time to explore more of my home state.  To the New York Botanical Gardens it was, located in, you guessed it, the Bronx.

And I’m not alone.  This premier botanical garden draws over 800,000 visitors annually, and is home to the world’s leading plant laboratories.  New York Botanical Gardens contains 50 different gardens and plant collections, over about 250 acres.  I could have spent all day admiring the waterfalls and flora, and sitting on the benches people watching (something I’ve learned to love in NY).

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves….  I got a little photo happy with my new Nikon, hope you don’t mind!

I certainly won’t be judging the Bronx anymore any time soon!
I saw the most beautiful flowers here.
